Starting the Zero-Waste Journey

As part of the real. kind. apothecary expansion, I unveiled new zero-waste products in the shoppe today. 

These first few zero-waste products mark an important step. Decreasing our use of disposable or one-time use items is crucial in reducing our collective waste. Adding in products to our routines that we can reuse again and again is an excellent, cost-effective way of reducing our waste and shrinking our carbon footprint.

Skincare

Reusable bamboo cotton rounds are a necessary part of every goddess’ daily ritual.

This is one of my favorite bathroom products ever. The reusable bamboo cotton facial round is my go-to for removing makeup, applying toner, and cleaning up makeup mishaps. These machine-washable rounds are soft, absorbent, and a fantastic alternative to one-time-use cotton balls or disposable cotton rounds.

Each set of 16 rounds comes with a mesh laundry bag to keep them together in the wash. As I use at least 2 a day, I have 2 sets. I never want to be caught without plenty of soft, plush rounds available to touch up my makeup, or splash on some refreshing toner.

Our second great addition is a sustainable cotton ear swab. Made with bamboo posts, these ethically sourced swabs are the smart choice over coated, plasticized cardboard posts that can’t be recycled or composted. The tips are organic cotton, and the package is recyclable and biodegradable.

Matching bamboo accessories complete your bathroom’s look.

In order to imbue a clean, natural look to your bathroom, I also offer matching bamboo display holders for both the bamboo rounds and cotton swabs, as well as a bamboo soap lift. Purchase more than one, and save! The soap lift is a fantastic option for shampoo bars or conditioner bars in the shower, too. 

Dental Care

In my first foray into dental care, I’m proud to offer vegan bamboo dental floss.

Organic vegan dental floss is infused with charcoal, and coated with candelilla wax.

This compostable bamboo floss is infused with charcoal for extra whitening, and coated with vegan, plant-based candelilla wax. The floss comes in a recyclable (or reusable!) glass jar.
