The apothecary is expanding!

I’m thrilled to announce that I’m growing the real. kind. apothecary!

You have been the driving force behind this new growth.

By sharing your feedback, suggestions, and lifestyle needs, you’ve helped shape what will become an online source for local, hand-crafted, low-waste gifts, housewares, jewelry, and additional skin and body care products. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and needs! I can’t wait to serve you better.

True to Our Values

As I curate new makers and lines, here’s what I’m looking for:

I’ll be bringing on only woman-owned businesses (in most cases, female indie creative entrepreneur/makers). I’ll do my best to locate products made on the West Coast. The products will be nature-based, or closely aligned with the Earth we all worship. And the makers will share our progressive, earth-based values. Sound good?

What’s Next?

The first wave of growth will focus on gifts. I’ve sourced nature-based soaps, jewelry, and candles from woman-owned businesses on the West Coast, and those new items are literally being hand-made as you read these words. Expect them to be available by early July (maybe even on the July 5 full moon!). As always, my newsletter subscribers are always the first to know about new launches, so make sure you’re signed up for The Scroll and get first dibs on the goods.

The next layer of goodies will be focused on low-waste toiletries, like reusable makeup rounds, bamboo toothbrushes, and some bathroom accents. Also look for low-waste kitchen items like beeswax wraps and bamboo utensils.

Still a Skincare Company

Further, by popular request, I’m actively formulating and testing new skincare and bath products. I’ll roll them out over the summer and fall, in concert with our skincare needs as the seasons change.

Your support, encouragement, and kind words have buoyed me to this level. Each of you has contributed to this new growth, and you have my deepest gratitude.

I am always eager to hear suggestions of other items you’d like to see in the apothecary. Please leave a comment below, or email me at hello@shoprealkind.com with your thoughts. I welcome your ideas.

With love and light,
Susannah
